WHY SHOULD I DATE A POET?
And so I heard from my chamber
About poets and their poetic prowess_
I swallowed hard but sighed
For they are they who are myopic
To discern of what nature they operate.
Poets are wordsmith and soul thriller_
They soothe a weary soul
And give a naked heart a home.
They curse you with smile
And encompass you with revelry.
You are happy in your den
For poets drilled your doleful den.
Poets are healers_
They heal your sick heart
And give you condoms
Over blue funk in time to come.
Poets are soul errands_
They send their pens
To convey their hearts_
Poets are ombudsman_
They carry your matter for head like hawkers of gala.
Who will you date now_
Let’s juxtapose before time flies.
Poets care less I am told_
They forsake their love and make nature their true love at the sight of its beauty.
But of what love do we love if not of nature.
Ladies are nature and so we chose to praise nature.
If your date can evoke nature
And appease Jah_
How much more you, his love.
If a poet can ventilate the air with love_
He will decorate you with love
And place you beside his heart.
If a poet can steal a show, a cynosure_
He will itch you in his heart for all to see as a billboard.
If a poet can soothe all_
Then your case isn’t a case
For he will make things right
And invent not a new.
Who else will you date_
If not he who has keys to hearts_
He who can weave words
And make things right_
He who at the touch of inspiration,
Commands and communes with nature.
He is a son of the soil_
A true product of divine.
He looks you in the eyes
And define you in words.
He looks you in the heart
And discern the state it is_
Then find a solution to make you smile.
He gives you a garment of laughter
And place you in the high places of life.
He cuddles you and assure you of haven.
What can I poet not do_
For he can do all things through inspiration which strengthens his pen.
Give me a reason not to date a poet_
And I will give you thousands reason to make him your lord.
I stand at bay watching_
Learning the language of my ink_
Learning how to handle my pen 🖋
