OH BROTHER (It Will Soon Be Over)
Why linger yet this time_
It’s a fated fate to face the fiery furnace.
The hands of Pharoah
Fly aloft the sky like a faithful thunder.
It’s the nature of nature to strike_
But when the hurricane beckons_
With trials and temptations_
Look up to heavens
And remember it will soon be over.
Repent never to the snare in sight_
Hang on, it’s bit for a while.
The eyes will foresee the feast_
But close your heart, the source of evil.
The day is wicked_
Never dwell in its midst.
The night is lonely_
Hug your work, do not flip.
It will soon be over_
So says son of man.
Only those in white garment will smile_
Those with heart a new will laugh.
Look around and see the goodness of yen baits_
They are there to ensnare your soul.
Give ear to my teachings
For it will Soon be over.
What tidings shall grease your mouth
If you repent today, of the gospel.
It will slow fade_
Only in the vineyard you abide.
Quiver not when the day is awry_
Only time shall safe the day.
Remember why you started
And tell yourself, it will soon be over.
I stand at bay watching_
Learning the language of my ink_
Learning how to handle my pen.
