AN EPISTLE OF JUDAISKY TO AFRICA
CHAPTER 10, VERSE 14
THINK BEFORE YOU TALK.
It’s obvious most of us don’t think before we vomit most of the things in our mouths.
The wiser part is we don’t know who we are to make this mistake to cos we have left the zone of mankind to the territory of God.
Lately, I heard someone saying God is wicked and unkind, for giving him
C (credit) all through despite his seriousness to achieve A or B (distinction) in his last concluded exam.
I felt like killing him with my own bare hands cos he seems to be bluffing to me.
He doesn’t know there is power in the tongue. But to behave like a responsible guy, I walked close to him, tapped him and we exchanged pleasantries even with warmth embrace.
Without asking him anything, he shown me his result, telling me how unfair it was for him to get credit all through, despite his sleepless night of reading and other efforts he put on.
I asked him if he would have loved it to have distinction all through and fail either Maths or English. He shouted God forbid. Then I ask him which God? The God you said is wicked?
Then he was mute.
This is just how we pay God back His kindness towards us.
You have been seeing brilliant gurus failing their exams but you, under the mercy and grace of God, you were able to escape and you still have the impetus to question his mercy over you, I fear for your future my friend.
Even when things aren’t right, you are expected to give thanks to God for in your worship and praise, His hands will be moved to answer your supplications and requests.
Today, I want you to learn how to give thanks even when things aren’t going to your own favor or according to the way you want.
Try God and see.
Till I cross your path again_
