LOVE, MY LOVE! (A poem written by Oluwadamilare Israel)

I wish you are mine
To behold and hold.
I wish I’m yours,
In thé same manner,
And you know it,
And we both do.
Accepting it with passion.
For then,
Oh then,
Our love would be at heights,
Reaching for the stars,
And beyond.
But, now,
Oh! now,
We have a love,
Kindled from above,
Yet, not sure,
To do with it what.
For we have our hearts,
And gradually it parts.
Oh! But,
Anytime our hearts meet,
Our love is rekindled,
As a blazing fire,
Flowing from yours to mine,
And mine to yours,
As though we are destined lovers.
And yet,
Oh! yet,
We would do nought with it.
Ah! My love,
Where would this lead us ?
I wish I could forget,
That our love grows,
Igniting in me a passion,
As I have not known,
For then,
Just then,
This pain will ease,
As though, it were never there.

Ah! love !
My heart – my love,
Seek yet another isle,
Where that flower
Will grow and bloom,
Nutured by fate,
Devoid of pain,
From day to day,
Till forever,
For, that would be destiny.
