JULI ADA LOVE (A POEM WRITTEN BY ROLAND OGOMIGO)

JULI ADA LOVE

I wish I were your lipstick,
I would kiss your lips,
Get lost from its savour
And flaunt how juicy you are.

I wish I were that dress,
I would shroud your nudity,
Protect you from cold
And carve out your true beauty.

I wish I were your hair,
I would show your pride,
Rest on your shoulders
And slide down to escort a godess.

I wish I were your necklace,
I would make your smile bright,
Replace the sunlight
And make the moon shy at night.

I wish I were your trousers,
I would marry your thighs,
Protect your private garden
And fight any unworthy alien.

I wish to be your air,
Your ear ring,
Your favourite colour,
Your dream man.

But distance makes my wishes a mere dream.
