THE BLEEDING PEN ANTHOLOGY 80
HOLD ON A LITTLE LONGER
When the way seems dark and long
And you pass amidst life’s rock_
Give your faith a little credit
For there are more to it.
Give the world a smile and laughter
And hold on a little longer.
Winners never quit,
Buffalo never tweet,
What will be will be,
Honey is the poo of bee,
Still counting, days of hunger,
Just hold on a little longer.
Though the moon may be half naked
But she will wait for time’s bread.
If grief could fade away with sunset
Then joy will rise from the onset.
As seeds die for the nascence of a new generation
So will impatience shrink for the era of a ruling nation.
Why suck from the breast of mirage?
Why give ears to the sound of pillage?
Why want to stop your heart from beating?
Why dance to the tune of deceiving?
We’re all good soil that pain germinate on,
Fertilised with chivalry tilted of gaunt sun.
Flashback to your people at home
Starvation has turned them to skinny bones,
Plague has befallen them
They drop dead each second causing mayhem,
Drought is the order of the day
Not a drop of urine is on the way.
Stay tight into my heart,
I will cover you with my hat,
Just few more years,
Endure without tears,
Count the stars with happiness,
And I’ll paint time in gladness.
When hope wanders off,
And temptation lays you off,
When tear breaks you,
And pain strikes you,
Before you draw the line of over,
Hold on a little longer.
When the land refuse to be tilled
and it seems like you have been blessed with poverty,
When the arrow of pain finds it home in you
and it seems like the world has turned its back on you,
Just hold on a little longer
For life is not yet over.
With no where to go.
And no bearing to run to.
Just hold on and never give up
Bring it on and keep your head up.
Hurdles of pain turn us around
Some rise, some still on ground
Its a phase full of trial
When you hold on, motion aren’t denial
Some quit, some move faster
Please hold on a little longer.
All you need is to hold on a little longer,
When your hope melt away like a snow in the summer,
A new time will dawn again,
To ease your pain,
To save you from ruin,
For a wind comes before the rain.
Life in it is frustration
Its companion is temptation
Albeit it’s always tougher
Yet has to be taken lighter
Longer when it’s peregrinating
Perseverance though makes it interesting
Life’s battle all night long rages,
And torment, all through the ages.
Even with all valiant fight,
Nothing is ever going right.
Don’t just give up at the border,
Rather, tarry a little longer.
Clothed in pain and agony,
as those minutes of silence brings sympathy,
anxiety turned despair,
confidence damaged almost beyond repair,
who told you we could never be….?
my love, a little more time is all we need.
The sea in fury has stolen your oars,
And the heartless wind still against you roars,
The storm assails your frail vessel from behind,
And you ne’er saw it on this kind.
The wave is determined to drown you,
My friend, will you give in too?
In a straying and vacant mind,
A body swayed along his hind,
But, his eyes caught a beautiful light,
Even in broad day, she was bright.
A lover of beauty, he paced to meet her,
As he breathe: kindly, hold on a little longer.
For how long,
Will I be in this maladic state?
For concerning me, all seems wrong.
This hope’s been long delayed and abate.
Yet, the man inside says hold on a little longer.
For soon things will turn out better.
Heart tossed to & fro like a ship in the storm.
Praying and kneeling till dawn.
When it seemed all hope was lost,
I felt his hand on my shoulder saying
hold your ground & stand fast.
I cry to God day and night,
Asking light for my Mr. Right.
I’m sick of the delay;
But this is all he could say:
If you wish to be stronger,
Then, hold on a little longer.
Hold on a little longer
Stand firm on your truth stronger,
Cause the storms of battle won’t last longer
Never blink on lies never.
The sorrow that flows like an ocean,
The deadly fruits of poison,
The cares of the terror,
Bleeding inside out a mighty error,
The pains in the flesh,
Counting out from the start to finish
“What brought scourge upon me?
Who fed me delicious weeds?
Why is my golden garment a shame amongst lots?
Where can I resurrect the solace I crave for?
Oh, Death! The convener of souls
Help this helpless soul as it groans.”
