A POEM TITLED JOY IN MOTHERHOOD BY ESTHER EMMANUEL

JOY IN MOTHERHOOD

Sextet

Two became one,
Two fleshs became one,
Two hearts became one,
His arm around my neck,
Sprinkling love like beck,
I don’t want him to beg.

Joy in my womb,
Expectations high above the hook,
Pages of joy inked in a book,
Crafted from the Wood,
Two minds;Formed with wooden desires.

Hopes in the air;
Standing without chair,
Race with time,
Hoping for fine,
I long to see the star inside,
You and I saw joy sitted aside.

I derive happiness in motherhood,
I want to see joy in fatherhood,
I don’t want him to be like Robin hood,
Hunting in the hood
Like a hunter, their is joy in motherhood.
