THE BLEEDING PEN PICTURE PROMPT (A DUEL BETWEEN ROLAND OGOMIGO AND ESTHER EMMANUEL)
PICERED BEFORE TIME
My eyes was exposed to the rod of pharaoh,
My legs was opened to the deity of sin,
My temple of purity was defiled with a rod, thick and dirty,
I saw my blood which was preserved for the future,
The blood that signify my dignity, now piecered without permission,
I was hit, I was slapped,
Help was far from me,
Defiled my temple,
Forcefully with pains and horror,
Men are cruel, I’m no longer pure but dirty,
I’m a victim of raped.
*A PRICE FOR FOLLY*
Today emotions get darkest
As clouds run out of tears
And blood cry in the parlour of grievance.
A day when a feeble tree bows to a bully wind
As humiliation replaced cloak of humility
And urge rule over morality.
It seems like incognizance is crucified again,
Selfishness has dominated compassion,
Justice is drowned in the deep
And summer has failed to alleviate this catastrophe.
Trapped in the arms of callousness,
An advice is born to illuminate naivety.
Don’t buy fake lies anymore,
Learn to heed the sun’s warning.
Don’t hide the moon in your pocket,
Instead appreciate her love at night.
Don’t rest on trust’s shoulders
But let wisdom fly you to safety
So love won’t sings song of dirge
And shame won’t eulogize its reign.
