BLACK AND SHINE (A POEM WRITTEN BY JAMES ANITA)

*BLACK AND SHINE*

*The day envies your melanin.*
*Sparks emanating from it.*
*Sealing the breach between black and white.*
*The night looks upon you.*
*Oh! Paragon of beauty.*
*Coal black, they say you’re burnt from birth.*

*The moon yearns for a fellowship with you.*
*The stars for the night for they seem to be white.*
*Then you for the day to twinkle with the sun.*
*For the night is scared you’d rule over her.*

*A vantage it is to you.*
*When you walk at day your skin meets the eyes of men,for it stands out amongst others.*
*The raven if the air serves at your feet.*
*For you are ;Queen of all black.*

*Tan not your black.*

*James ANITA.*
