APATHY AND RACISM
Racism, the gun that murdered Martin Luther .
The god that maimed his brother.
I sight the world further
All I saw were children wearing protuberant stomach,in an emaciated bones.
With sunken eyes in sockets.
All walking the silent streets.
They’re the ones immiserated by racism and Apathy.
They’re the ones conceived in discrimination,
Left bare footed, stripped naked.
To walk the dry wilderness of sorrow & pain.
They ‘re maimed & killed,
Others are left in the wake Of racial malnutrition.
All I saw written everywhere :
How many dead blacks equals one dead white?
Stones were silent and dry.
The world drenched in injustice,
When the answer was suppressed.
When the poor were oppressed,
And the weak depressed.
There lies the smelling carcass
Of Apathy and Racism,
The offsprings of tribalism. A turbulent and cascading darkness
These led the feeble
To put on the of Apathy as protest against racism.
Knowing not it’s bitter pies
A double edged sword lies, shimmering in adamancy
Bitter than bile in obduracy.
A syncretism of the wounded.
Racism the prey of altruism,
the angel of gender egoism.
The god father of nepotism.
Alas!, apathy and racism,
The hydra headed monsters.
