THE BLEEDING PEN ANTHOLOGY 37
Meritocracy, an ideology that favours us not
Distinctively forsaken, it hurt
Why shall we be casted
Is it our fault to be wretched?
Singlehandedly, the broom can be cut
But in unison unity, the murdering can’t be done
These are bloods of meritocracy
But don’t forget it’s offering of tranquillity.
Unit and United,
Self-service, not separated,
Alone, not lonely,
Powered by the power of meritocracy.
A peace pastor I’ll be
The deaf will hear unity sing
Our life we’d define in meritocracy
Freedom will peace bring.
My striving hands won’t Isolate
Ever busy buzzing bee I’ll be
for edibles to dance at my table as I relate.
And to keep warm all around me.
Birds chirping like birds, mouse on their best…
A naked land with its fallowed breast
Spread for all who wants to suck.
It’s now share equally, no more thuggery amok.
I study like hungry Lion
That could take me to the zion
And I will continue to talk of dexterous creativity
That’s my dignity.
Not by our very eyes shall we watch
This blazing law of yours that hurts like a sun that scorch
Are we not a human?
Or were we not born by a woman?
